A CENTER OF EXPERIENCE
THE PAPER ISLAND was, like other parts of Copenhagen’s Harbor, a closed industrial area. In the transitional phase from the industrial to a modern city neighborhood, the island was opened up to the surrounding world for a few years. The
public flocked to it, and THE PAPER ISLAND established its name as a center of experience and a recreational space.
